The 281 corridor from north San Antonio up through Bulverde and Spring Branch is one of the most active hail tracks in Texas. Most Bulverde roofs are on a 6–10 year insurance replacement cycle, not the 20-year manufacturer cycle.
A lot of the homes built here between 2015 and 2021 had fast roofing crews that left issues — especially in the valleys, around chimneys, and at pipe boots. We see those repairs constantly. If your home is a new build and you've had any leaking, get an inspection before the warranty expires.
Out east toward Spring Branch and on the larger acreage properties, standing-seam metal is increasingly the right call. Higher upfront, much lower lifetime cost, and far better in hail than asphalt.
Open hill country properties take more wind uplift than infill properties. We use enhanced-attachment patterns and Class H shingles on exposed sites — not the bare-minimum spec.
