There are two warranties, not one
This is the distinction that matters most, and it's the one most commonly blurred in a sales pitch.
- The manufacturer warranty comes from Atlas, IKO or CertainTeed and covers the materials against manufacturing defects. It does not cover installation error, and it does not cover hail or wind.
- The workmanship warranty comes from us and covers the installation. If a roof leaks because of how it was installed, this is the one that applies.
Most roof failures in the field are installation issues, not material defects. So a contractor advertising a "lifetime warranty" while offering a thin workmanship warranty is emphasizing the one that's less likely to help you.
What we provide
- A written workmanship warranty per contract, transferable to one subsequent homeowner
- Manufacturer warranty registered in your name — we're certified with Atlas, IKO and CertainTeed
- Final inspection photos and documentation for your records
- Certificates of insurance on request before any job starts
What commonly voids coverage
- Repairs by another contractor that disturb the original installation
- Pressure washing — it strips granules and is a fast way to void material coverage

Questions worth asking any roofer
- Is the workmanship warranty in writing, and for how long?
- Is it transferable if I sell?
- Are you certified with the manufacturer whose product you're installing?
- Will you register the manufacturer warranty in my name, and will I receive the documentation?
- Can you show me a current certificate of insurance?
If a contractor can't or won't answer the last one, walk away. Texas doesn't require a state roofing license, which makes insurance certificates and association membership — we're RCAT members and BBB A+ accredited — the verifiable signals that remain.
